JEREMIH
After receiving a recording deal in 2009, Jeremih released his first single, which debuted at number 6 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. His first album self-titled Jeremih, sold 59,000 copies in the first week and received a nod for an American Music Award.
At the age of 23, Jeremih has made quite a name for himself touring and working with artists such as Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Wale, 50 cent and Lionel Richie to name a few. As a self-taught musician, Jeremih plays the Saxophone, drums, and piano. He credits his mother for giving him instruments at a young age and fostering his talents.
In 2010, Jeremih swept the Chicago Music Awards winning Best Male Vocalist of the Year and R&B Entertainer of the Year among other accolades. As of April 2011, Jeremih's hit single off of his most recent "All About Me" album sold 75,000 copies in the UK and 2,042,000 digital downloads in the U.S. While he's known as that "new R&B kid on the block" many are unaware of his charitable deeds involving music.
