Australian born singer, songwriter, guitarist, Orianthi is currently the lead guitarist for Alice Cooper's band. Formerly Carrie Underwoods guitarist, Orianthi was hand selected for Michael Jackson's "This is it" tour as the lead guitarist by Michael Jackson himself. Orianthi's ascent to stardom may appear to have happened overnight, but she has been honing her craft for quite some time. She began playing piano at the age of three and later moved to the acoustic guitar at the age of six. After witnessing a live performance by Carlos Santana, she convinced her father (a local musician) to purchase her first electric guitar. From there the rest is history, as less than a decade later, she has played for several bands across the globe and shared the stage with the likes of Steve VaI and Carlos Santana.
Her rock sound is infused with blues and soul, which can be attributed to her experience listening to her fatherís Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton records among others during her youth. Her passion for diverse and rich music continues as she shares it with others both on and off the stage
