About
Bang T. Co is a rising young professional in the non-profit world with a multifaceted background in arts management and business leadership. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations & Individual Gifts for the Office of Development at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. As an alumnus of IU, Bang has spent many years contributing to the promotion and advancement of his alma mater as the Vice President (2021-2023) and a Member-at-Large (2016-2021) of the IU Marching Hundred Alumni Board; and as the Drum Major (2014-2016) for the IU Marching Hundred. One of his proudest accomplishments is helping the IU Marching Hundred raise over $100,000 to purchase new and matching instruments. Additionally, Bang also serves as the National President of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity. He is the 49th member to serve in this role and the first Asian American National President for Kappa Kappa Psi. In this position, Bang strives to create meaningful connections and a positive impact on college/university bands across the nation through strategic initiatives and tactical programming. He brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, having served as the Programs Manager for Asian American LEAD in Washington, D.C., where he also completed the Non-Profit Management Executive Program at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. Overall, Bang is excited to serve on the Board of Directors for The Musicianship and looks forward to putting his skills and passion to benefit the staff, community, and young musicians in the Nation’s Capital.
