Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan is Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships at WUSA9, the CBS television affiliate in Washington, DC. In this role, she works to bring businesses and organizations together to identify like-minded strategies and marketing opportunities which will enhance and further overall brand and community outreach goals.Pat has worked in Television, Radio, Cable, and in print for Southing Living Magazine. She has worked for NBC, Hearst, NewsCorp, Sinclair and currently TEGNA Broadcast Group. She has led successful teams throughout her career as a National Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, and General Sales Manager. She has worked with professional and local sports teams and athletes, National and local brands, organizations, local governments, and businesses. Pat is an innovator and has developed and executed signature community and sporting events in the region.Pat believes we are guided by our better angels and that we should strive to be awe-inspired in all that we do and seek to achieve. That we should strive to make a lasting and positive difference in the lives of others. “We should ensure that we share and memorialize our positive footprint for change to those who come after so that they may follow, learn, and improve upon it for generations to come.”As one who always believes that achievement is ongoing and never-ending, Pat’s past achievements were those opportunities she developed where an individual or group had a positive outcome and experience that could potentially resonate with them for a lifetime. Many of those events continue. “It really doesn’t matter who built the road, but just that the path continues on.”Pat is particularly proud and humbled by the individuals she had the privilege of hiring, mentoring and providing guidance to over the years.If Pat could have a conversation with an icon from the past, it would be Frederick Douglas. What an amazing visionary he was. And for modern times, she would love to have a conversation with Amanda Gorman, the youngest inaugural poet in history. “I am awed by her story and energized by what she and her generation will achieve.” Pat graduated from Howard University’s School of Communication in 1986 with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Minor in Political Science.She is a Native Washingtonian who lives in Howard County Maryland with her husband, Walter, a retired Mortgage Banker. She is the proud mother of Sean Sullivan. A graduate of Howard University’s School of Architecture. Always the competitor, Pat is an avid sports fan. She is a lover of animals and especially dogs and horses. She is a self-taught designer and in her free time you will find her making beautiful interior design spaces and working with her son on his architecture and design projects for his company.
