DMV Music Lovers, Secure Your Tickets for the 35th Annual Wammie Music Awards!

Thank you for your incredible participation and support for the region's music industry. This year, The Wammie Music Awards broke records! Over 1,000 nominees were submitted by the public, and nearly 20,000 votes were cast across 45 music categories, resulting in over 300 finalists. Some of these finalists will emerge as the winners of this year's Wammie Music Awards.

Now is the time to reserve your seat for the Awards Show before they sell out! The 35th Annual Wammie Music Awards, presented by The MusicianShip, will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Capital Turnaround. It promises to be the hottest ticket of the Spring, with nearly a thousand engaged artists and music fans anticipated to attend.

The Awards Show will be hosted by WUSA 9's Emmy award-winning anchor, Allison Seymour, and Darren Hayes, voted #1 Sports Anchor in the DMV. "The Hitmakers Ball" will celebrate the DMV region's rich music legacy and its influence on style, fashion, and community. Expect to see Hitmakers shining on the red carpet!

What to expect at the Awards Show? The evening will kick off with a pre-event VIP & General Reception featuring DJ 24/7. The two and a half-hour show, with music by DJ D-REX, will feature a variety of live performances, including iconic Go-Go band EU, Grammy-nominated MuMu Fresh, Latin-Rock sensation Perro Sombra, The Howard University S.H.O.W.T.I.M.E. Marching Band, and many more exciting acts.

There will be a special 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop tribute curated by Beau Young Prince, featuring DC Rap Pioneers and contemporary influencers. New award categories like Best Music Video, Best Youth Artist-Group, Music Trailblazer Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award will be bestowed for the first time during this exciting evening.

After the Show, continue the celebration at the Official Wammies After-Party hosted by Steph Lova and P Stew of The Original Live Squad.

• General Admission: Preferred seating and access to a general reception with food and drinks available for purchase. GA ticket holders will also have access to the general activation area in the main lobby and foyer with music by DJ 24/7.

Wammie Week will return from Tuesday, March 28th, through Sunday, April 2nd, at various venues across The District. This week will feature music industry panels, networking events, and a film screening aimed at highlighting the power of collaboration and creativity within the region and beyond.
